EV charger grants & funding

Government funding can cut the cost of installing an EV charger. Homes can get up to £500 per socket through the routes below, and businesses, landlords and schools have their own schemes, all claimed via an OZEV-authorised installer, not directly from Evova.

The biggest change for 2026: the old grant for owner-occupiers of houses with a driveway has closed. Home funding now targets renters, flat owners and households with on-street parking, each worth up to £500 per socket. The Workplace Charging Scheme rose to £500 per socket on 1 April 2026 for businesses, with an enhanced rate for state-funded education.

How grants are claimed

Evova does not administer or claim grants. These are government schemes, claimed for you by an OZEV-authorised installer (or, for the Workplace Charging Scheme, by redeeming a voucher you apply for first). We're an independent directory: use it to find an authorised installer who can handle the grant on your behalf.

Schemes that have closed

A few earlier grants closed on 31 March 2026 and are no longer available: the grant for owner-occupiers of houses with a driveway, plus the Staff & Fleets, Commercial Landlord and Residential Landlord Infrastructure grants. If you read about these elsewhere, check the date. The open routes are listed above.
